Ascend will no longer be offered as a stand-alone package; instead, Wix will include more of your favorite Ascend tools in the Premium plans.
Starting February 1st, 2023, Ascend will no longer be available to purchase. In an effort to make business solutions more effective, many of the top Ascend tools will be included within the premium hosting plans, and a separate email marketing plan will be available.
They key changes are:
Most Ascend business tools will be added to the Premium plans. Top-requested business tools will automatically be included on every site such as Live Chat, Social Posts and Promotional videos. Learn more about the business solutions.
Forms will move to Wix Premium plans. The limits and features available will depend on the plan you choose. You still get access to 4 forms per month for free. Learn more about the form limits.
New stand-alone plans for Email Marketing will launch with a choice of email sending limit options per plan. The free plan sending limit will change from 5000 to 200 emails per month. There will no longer be a limit on the number of email campaigns you can send (as long as they do not exceed your monthly balance). Automations will count towards the monthly email balance. What if I already pay for Ascend?
If you've already purchased an Ascend plan, you will not be affected. You can continue to use the existing Ascend tools and features up to the limits stated at the time of purchase. If you decide to cancel or turn off auto-renewal, your Ascend plan will expire and you will not be able to re-purchase.
Should I keep my Ascend plan?
Depending on the amount of automations you use, email subscribers you have and monthly email campaigns you send out, it could be more cost-effective to keep your existing Ascend plan versus canceling and subscribing to an email marketing plan.
The current Ascend Plans are:
Basic:
Includes 7 Automations, with up to 2 follow-up actions per automation (unlimited emails sent)
5 email campaigns per month, 9,500 emails per month
Professional:
Includes 20 Automations, with up to 10 follow-up actions per automation
20 email campaigns per month, 50,000 emails per month
Unlimited:
Unlimited Automations, with up to 10 follow-up actions per automation
Unlimited email campaigns, 1 million emails per month
To find out which Ascend plan you have and what you are currently paying: Select "Premium Subscriptions" from the top right corner of your Wix Dashboard, scroll down to the Ascend subscription to view which plan you have, and click on "View Payment Details" under the "Next Payment Due" column to see what you are currently paying.
The new email marketing plans will be as follows*:
Essentials $10/month:
500 emails total (both automations and marketing campaign emails)
Core $24/month:
5,000 emails total (both automations and marketing campaign emails)
Advanced $49/month:
1 million emails total (both automations and marketing campaign emails)
*Displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase. Prices do not include applicable taxes, which are determined according to your billing address. The final price can be seen on the purchase page, before payment is completed. The available email marketing plans may differ depending on your geographic location.
What if I utilize the free email marketing solutions from Wix?
Your email sending limit will go from 5,000 to 200 emails per month. You can send as many email campaigns as you would like, but you are now limited to sending to only 200 people versus the previous 5,000. This also includes automations. If you have email automations set up, for example, welcoming new email subscribers, each one that gets sent will count towards your 200 email limit. You will be forced to upgrade to an Email Marketing plan or utilize a different email marketing platform, such as Mailchimp, MailerLite, or Constant Contact.
